The Aspire HRBP Network

The conference launched a strategic network of HR & OD business partners built around the Aspire Alumni and those HRBP’s who attended the first national conference. The network has the support of the Local Government Association who will be hosting around 3 meetings for the group during 2017 and the network is being coordinated by two of the Aspire Alumni.

Gordon and Rachel are jointly coordinating the new HRBP Network, they are both Aspire alumni.

With 24 years HR experience in the private and public sector, Gordon is currently an HR Business Partner for Warwickshire County Council providing a service to Warwickshire schools and academies and responsible for the Council’s employee relations matters. Previous roles included, HR Business Partner for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, HR Manager for Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, Head of HR for Coventry Technical College, Senior HR Advisor for Rolls-Royce plc and LD & OD Officer for Nuclear Electric plc.

Rachel has held a variety of HR roles at Dudley Council and has worked particularly closely with Schools; being part of the team that scooped a Personnel Today innovation award in 2015. She is currently the HR Traded Services Manager.
